We don’t need to be too fearful though.  A day or two without sleep is something most of us go through in our lives every once in a while.  It doesn’t really affect you so much, as long as you’re able to make up for it.  If this lack of sleep is retained however, then it’s only a matter of time when the consequences of depriving yourself of sleep will manifest.

There’s plenty of things little things you can do which will help you sleep a lot better.

Firstly, be sure to try and go to sleep at the same time every day. Your body will get used to these times and it’ll be a lot smoother in genera.

Secondly, don’t use electronic devices at least 30 minutes before going to sleep. You need to un-wind at night. Looking at bright screens will not do you any favours.

Thirdly, Avoid any form of caffeine or large meals several hours before bed. This one goes without saying really, but it will be difficult to sleep when you’ve got energy inside of you.

These are the three most important things you must avoid, but there’s definitely plenty of other things you need to avoid doing before going to bed as well. Do some research on this.
